As i'm sure you're aware if you're getting bullied, Your confidence can take a major knock and you don't feel like doing anything, Let alone meeting new people or starting something new.

But believe me, A pattern i've noticed in my in-depth study of bullying over the last few months is that people who've conquered bullying or survived through it usually find some kind of hobby or passtime that they can just lose themselves in and retreat into when things get bad.

For some people it's Martial Arts or Karate, Others it's video games, For some it's sports.

Just find something you enjoy doing and call it your hobby, Get better at it, Set goals, Set Markers, Be the best you can be at it. If you set yourself a goal then your brain has something else it can focus on instead of the living hell that you're most likely enduring.

For me it was parkour (Google it), I began teaching myself and finding the limits of my body. Every night i'd go out and i'd just train until it was a task and half just walking back home. I'd wake up the next day twinging from training so hard and i'd have a rush of endorphins which would last the majority of the day. Plus on top of everything it was helping keep me safe because Parkour can be used as a method of escape.

Because i'd trained myself to find new, efficient routes as well as quick ones i could out-run my bullies and do it safely as well as quickly. I could perform large drops and vault objects to make gaps between us which scored me valuable time to either find a place to hide or just get somewhere else.

But please, if you're being bullied and feel like there's nowhere else to turn;

Private Message me or any of the staff  on the forums, we've always got time for you.

Hi Mousey,

That sounds like a great way to overcome bullying. I tried martial arts myself (it was mixed.. mainly sort of karate and stuff) and it helped get my confidence up a lot, so I agree that its a great way to help get over bullying.

''I'd like to say that I learned,very early in life that:'Without a song the day would never end,Without a song a man ain´t got a friend,Without a song the road would never bend,Without a song...So I keep singing a song.....

Friends will be friends,
When ur in need of love they give u care and attention,
Friends will be friends,
When ur through with life an all hope is lost,
Hold out ur hand,
Coz Friends will be Friends,
Right til the end..''
